Register Now for Free FEMA/FLASH Charleston QuakeSmart Workshop

 

WHAT: The National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP), FEMA, the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH), South Carolina Department of Insurance, South Carolina Emergency Management Division, and their partners are now accepting registrations for the QuakeSmart “Earthquake” disaster preparedness workshop for building officials, businesses, corporations, engineers, emergency managers, homebuilders, leaders, manufacturers, nonprofits, organizations, policymakers, public officials, risk managers, and small businesses across the U.S.Attendees will receive streamlined business continuity planning and mitigation project plans with simple, step-by-step instructions to help reduce risk and protect employees, clients, customers, and communities.
WHO: The workshop will feature a keynote presentation from South Carolina Department of Insurance Director Ray Farmer on disaster resilient public policy and the role of strong, well-enforced building codes.
