COLUMBIA, S.C. – A weather system is expected to move across South Carolina on Sunday, bringing the potential for a mix of rain and snow in some areas.
Significant impacts are not anticipated at this time; however, residents are encouraged to remain weather-aware and take basic preparedness steps.
“Preparation is key when winter weather is in the forecast,” said Kim Stenson, director of the South Carolina Emergency Management Division. “Having a plan and supplies ready before temperatures drop helps families stay safe and reduces the strain on emergency services.”
State and local emergency management officials continue to monitor weather conditions and coordinate with partners to ensure readiness. Residents should closely follow their local National Weather Service office for the latest forecast.
